FAQs
1. What are the standard airline baggage allowances?
If you're catching a number of flights on different carriers, make sure you're aware of each airline's checked baggage and cabin baggage allowance.
- Checked baggage (going into the hold)
Most airlines allow passengers to take either 20 kg or 23 kg per person in checked luggage (this is the bag that goes in the hold of the aircraft). Usually, you're only allowed to carry this in 1 piece of luggage. The average maximum dimensions for checked baggage are 90cm x 75cm x 43cm = 158 cm.
- Cabin baggage (carry on)
For hand baggage carried into the cabin, you're usually restricted to a maximum of 7kg (in case items fall out of the overhead lockers). The average maximum dimension for cabin baggage to be is 23cm x 36cm x 56cm.
2. How can I add additional luggage?
You can add an additional bag during and after the booking (up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure time). Fees apply per airline.
3. What will happen to the additional luggage that I paid if I decide to change my flight?
If you change the flight, we can transfer the paid extra baggage to the new flight so long as it's the same exact flight or route.
- Cancellation the flight
If you cancel the flight, paid extra baggage is considered non-refundable.
4. How can I assign seats on my flights?
After we finish booking your flight (or during the process, depending on the airline), we can view the seat map and make your pick. If you book your flight with friends or family members on the same reservation, they will likely be assigned seats next to you or nearby automatically.
Please note that fees may apply.
5. Why can't I choose my flight seat?
If you cannot select a seat in advance, please try again 48 hours before the scheduled departure time. Or, you may also select your seats at the Self Service Check-in and Ticketing Kiosk or at the airport check-in counter at least 1 hour before your flight's scheduled departure time.
Please understand that not all seats are available for advance selection because some seats are reserved for passengers who may need additional care on boarding the aircraft, or for adjusting the weight balance of the plane. Also, the range of seats offered for advance selection is determined by the fare applied to your ticket.
6. How can I do the online check-in?
Online check-in is available starting 24 hours before your scheduled departure. Please visit the airline's website and click the Check-in tab.
Required timing for check-in, baggage check and boarding may vary based on your departure airport and destination.
Please note that there are some airlines that do not allow online check-in. Especially when there are two airlines operating the trip. Passenger's are required to arrive at the airport 2-3 hours before the scheduled departure time to do the check-in.
7. How can I request for special assistance? Eg. Wheelchair, Baby Services. Etc.
If you need a wheelchair either onboard your flight or at the airport, you may request it during and after the booking. We will forward the request to the airline.
On the day of the flight, pick up the wheelchair you’ve requested at the ticket counter or wheelchair assistance centre in the airport lobby.
Baby Bassinet Services
If you need a bassinet, you may request it during and after the booking, at least 48 hours before the scheduled departure time.
There isn't usually an additional charge for this seating option, but space is obviously limited. Some airlines request bassinet reservations in advance, others have bassinets only available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
There are weight and length restrictions based on the travel class, and they must be reserved before the flight. Most bassinets can carry infants up to 30 pounds and 30 inches long.
8. Can I travel with my pet?
Depending on the airline, you can either bring your pet to the check-in counter to be taken away like a regular bag or take them to a separate cargo drop-off in a location separate from the airport.
Prices will vary depending on where you're travelling and your airline. Check the airline's pet policy before purchasing a ticket to make sure your pet meets the airline's breed and size requirements.
9. Can I change my flight after I booked it?
Once a booking has been issued, you can change the time or date of your booking. Most airlines charge a reissue fee and fare difference may apply on top of the price you have paid in your original ticket.
10. Can I transfer my ticket to a different person?
Tickets are non-transferable, hence, name changes on a confirmed reservation are not permissible. You will need to cancel your ticket and book a new ticket with the new passenger's name. Cancellation charges, if any, will be applicable accordingly.
11. How long does a booking last?
Most airlines will allow us to hold a reservation for 24 hours with no charge. While some reservations may hold only for a few hours, due to seat availability and the type of fare we are booking.
